  I began this venture as my first role as a critical care transport nurse. In addition to duties of a CCT nurse, I was fully trained in both a mission support coordinator and senior mission support coordinator role in which I was responsible along with colleagues to assist physicians in transfers to the healthcare network as well as dispatch ambulances for transport.   I took my first step into the healthcare field joining Bensalem EMS as a volunteer in 2002 in which I received my initial EMT certification. Throughout the years I had the opportunity to remain a volunteer and ultimately transition to the career side of the organization in 2018. I worked as a staff paramedic and ultimately was part of the first crew to staff the mobile stroke unit ambulance and develop its patient workflow. The inception date of the Jefferson Health Vickie and Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience/Bensalem EMS Mobile Stroke Unit was August 5, 2019. In June 2020, I was promoted to the position of Battalion Chief in which I am responsible for day to day operations. Show less
