      Member of senior management team responsible to lead power resource business aspects.This includes managing existing resources from BPA, the Packwood Hydro Project, the Nine Canyon Wind Project, the White Creek Wind Project, a solar project located at our facility, and our own natural gas fired reciprocating engines; researching and planning for potential resource changes to enhance diversification and value of resources; rate analysis and design; actively participating in BPA rate cases and hearings to advocate process improvement, elimination of waste and overall lowering costs in order to achieve low rates and assist BPA in staying competitive; influencing positive regulatory changes for public power; negotiating and managing power supply related contracts; being knowledgeable in matters related to energy savings, renewable energy, demand side management, load management, cost of service analysis, conservation potential assessments, risk management, and strategic planning; developing power supply policies; ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations to include Washington's Energy Independence Act and the Clean Energy Transformation Act; actively participating in legislative rulemaking processes with Department of Commerce to influence change for public power and the district’s best interests; preparing power revenue and power supply cost forecasts for the annual budget and for long term planning; overseeing power supply management needs for customers seeking additional load; representing the district on matters as assigned by the manager.I am currently involved with Public Power Council, Northwest Requirements Utilities to include Northwest Energy Management Services, Washington Public Utility District Association, and Western Power Agency’s Group.
