  Served as an Active Guard Reserve Personnel Manager at the Full-Time Management Directorate in Saint Louis, Missouri. Processed Reserve Officer personnel requests and actions; composed and corrected outgoing correspondence to individuals, higher headquarters, and the media. Additional duties as Administrator included teaching military and civilian personnel various computer programs. My best accomplishment was a document-merging program that I designed, helped program, and implemented. Activated during Desert Shield, I worked at the Mobilization and Special Operations Center in the Hoffman building and the Pentagon. Responsible for reducing pain and medication through bridging western and eastern medical theories for an integrated approach to pain with related imbalances that impede recovery. Diagnosing and treating illnesses or disorders related to neurological and musculoskeletal systems. Diagnosis includes intake, observation, examination, and reviewing drug therapies, health and medical histories. Treatment of various illnesses, diseases, and pain management, to improve well-being, is achieved through acupuncture, Chinese herbal formula prescription, and dietary counseling. Documentation requirements include treatment goals, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes. Communication includes instructing patients, families, and healthcare providers in holistic treatment plans and procedures using audience appropriate language and terminology. Education includes development and facilitation of training programs designed to teach and privilege physicians in auricular acupuncture, breech presentation, and trigger therapy; training programs to train the trainers as a low cost force multiplier of alternative services; power point presentations; and participation in TeleECHO; a multifaceted approach to chronic pain.
