Maintained the Group and Programme PCI DSS intranet site; drafted key PCI DSS messages to be included in the annual ‘Information @ Barclaycard’ mandatory colleague training programme; provided consultancy across all Barclaycard change initiatives as to their PCI DSS obligations and supported any scheme (MasterCard and Visa) communication as to Barclaycard’s PCI DSS compliance status.Brought in to lead a £4.5m programme to replace Barclaycard’s incumbent Merchant Fraud Detection system (Fair Isaac’s Eagle). Managed the application delivery from the build phase through to post implementation, including agreeing the support model between the business, 3rd party supplier and internal technology team as well as a robust post live change process.Led the vendor selection process to replace Barclaycard’s payment card fraud system (Falcon). Final assessment confirmed the retention of the existing system and proposed a series of low cost / high reward enhancements, thereby allowing the business to reallocate approximately £5m unused change budget.Delivered the technical capability (via a 3rd party solution) and associated business processes to acquire China UnionPay transactions.Aligning to Barclaycard’s International aspirations by extending GPA’s cross-border proposition through the delivery of a £2m project to implement an Online PIN authorisation capability in Italy, which included the creation of a robust key management and crypto processes as well as working closely with Visa to successfully attain Visa PIN Security accreditation, a pre-requisite to launching the service.Led a project that delivered more than £9.5m cost saving by reducing GPA’s interchange expenditure. The resultant service reduced the current cheque clearing cycle from 6 days down to near instant. The trial instigated a change in the current cheque legislation (dated 1882) by HM Treasury to permit cheque clearing via an image.
