  Mechanical Engineer (Design) Support for On-board Instrumentation , Telemetry , Calibration and Line Replaceable Units Procurement teams. The responsibilities are:1. Generating concepts for mechanical installation of Flight Test Instrumentation LRU’s (Data Acquisition Units, Recorders, Transmitters, antennas, sensors, cameras) access and wiring provisions for the same in consultation with Structure groups and On-board Instrumentation team. Models and drawings (detailed parts & assembly) are made in UNIGRAPHICS NX for the requirements according to HAL standards.Performing hand calculations of stresses and loads for the detailed design of the components.2. Coordinating with the Design & Analysis groups involved in the workflow process for the release of drawings in Team center environment.3. Providing technical support through Production Queries, Material Substitution Requests to the Planning department during the course of detailed parts fabrication and installation stages.4. Prioritization of Flight Test Instrumentation LRU’s installation in consultation with the Production Control & Scheduling, Equipping teams during prototype building stages.5. Assisting the Structural group while installing the Flight Test Instrumentation LRU’S through Shop Queries, release of Project Slips, collection of installation documents (Installation drawings, Detailed part Tags, Material Requisition, Route Cards, Job tickets) for Quality approval of the installation kit. 6. Assisting the On-Board Instrumentation team during progressive flight testing phases of different prototypes (Light Combat Aircraft-Tejas, Intermediate Jet Trainer(HJT-36 Sitara) , Hindustan Turbo-prop Trainer (HTT-40))7. Preparation of Drawing Applicability Lists for different prototypes, absorption of shop queries into higher issue drawings, providing inputs for LRU procurement and standardization of the processes.
