  As a team leader of the Blackrock Transition Services team, I oversaw the movement of client assets into and out of BlackRock’s management, including in-specie movements to and from the BlackRock range of pooled funds; Life, ACS, Unit Trusts, LDI, Cash and Liquidity funds. The key tasks included account set up in our operating systems and the introduction / withdrawal of reconciled positions, as well as supporting Product Development initiatives. I acted as a point of contact for the regionally based CRM’s, custodians, fund accountants and where appropriate the client appointed consultants and third-party transition managers. I have been the BusOps lead in numerous large strategic projects which include change of custody, TA and fund accounting providers.Key Responsibilities:• Providing operational support to the Transition Managers / Portfolio Managers throughout the transition lifecycle. • Plan, coordinate and execute take ons, take offs, interfund and in-specie transfers.• Working with internal and external parties as required to efficiently manage in-specie conversions.• Liaising with custodians and other asset managers to ensure information is accurately communicated between parties.• Proactively monitoring settlement of free of payment trades and cash movements on transition accounts. • Responsible for confirming the status of the transfer; CBO/NCBO, stamp liabilities, settlement cycle, instruction method and financial transaction tax.• Representing the team during client and stakeholder meetings.• Project work on high profile business initiatives providing subject matter expertise.• Delivering timely and accurate metrics for senior management review.• Chair weekly Team and Transition Custody meetings.• Design and implementation of in-specie process for new fund ranges.   LifeSight Implementation & Platform Relationship Manager

  Working within the LifeSight Implementation and Platform Relationship team I am responsible for the transfer of past assets for participating employers joining LifeSight Master Trust. I also manage the relationship with LifeSight’s Platform provider by ensuring day-to-day activities are completed in line with SLA’s and assist with the asset transition aspects of tender responses and new business pitches.Key Responsibilities:• Project management of pension asset transitions including liaising with incumbent investment managers, the administrators, LifeSight client relationship manager, legal advisers and incumbent Trustee/Company representatives.• Review of legal documentation.• Development and maintenance of transition project plans.• Provide fund mapping proposals and recommended transition approach.• Calculate estimated transaction costs.• Monitoring of service levels of the platform provider.• Lead the Joint Management Committee meetings.• Development of processes for LifeSight product and asset transitions.• Assist in the preparation of tender responses, including estimated transaction costs, transition approach and fund mapping.• Attending and participating as required at employer meetings, LifeSight Trustee meetings and Client pitches.
