  After completing my Leaving Certificate in 2017, I began work as clerical assistant summer relief staff in Iarnród Éireann's Limerick Junction office for a period of 6 weeks. Much of the work consisted of inputting timesheets, sending division-wide emails, creating purchase orders and purchase requisitions, filing invoices, and aiding the tendering process on various projects within the company by keeping in contact with all relevant parties.   Trainee Healthcare Advisor

  I was employed by Boots to work on weekends during term time while I was studying Pharmacy in Trinity College Dublin. During my time there, I received extensive training on over-the-counter medicines, facilitating me to provide patient counselling on the correct usage of various medications. My duties and responsibilities also included putting away stock, tidying the shop floors, and helping customers find what they are searching for within the shop.

  Summer Research Intern

  At the end of my first year studying Pharmacy in Trinity College Dublin, I was selected for an extremely competitive summer research scholarship in the School of Pharmacy. For a period of 10 weeks, I worked alongside Assoc. Prof. Sheila Ryder, Assist. Prof. Eimear Ní Sheachnasaigh and a final year pharmacy student, contributing to a systematic review. The research was based on using visual aids, such as pictograms, to improve medication regime adherence in low-literacy patients in Ireland. Throughout the course of the 10 weeks, I developed outstanding research and academic writing skills, and this experience undoubtedly enhanced my teamwork skills as part of a very diverse team.   I began working in McCabes Pharmacy full-time between completing first year of Pharmacy in Trinity College Dublin and re-enrolling in Computer Science and Business in 2019.Responsibilities as a Healthcare Advisor include advising patients on how to correctly take over-the-counter medication, and meeting with company representatives for ongoing training on newly released products. My experience in McCabes has aided me in developing strong teamwork and communication skills.
