      Rehabilitation of women under Criminal Justice System

      The organisation works with the population who come under criminal justice system like inmates inside the prison, protection home for women, children's observation home and also with the children of inmates live outside in the community. Prayas, has also a very significant role in the policy making related to the rights of the prisoners in the country. 1. I have worked as a facilitator in the process of rehabiliataion of the released women from the institute like organising exposure visits or contacting to different companies or organisations for job placements and helping the person in making important government documents. 2. Worked with the inmates in the prison- counseling, networking with the institutes, organisations for the rehabilitaion of the inmate, contacting the lawyers and meeting with the Judges realted to the issues of the inmate. I also conducted a brief study on the conditions of the Bangladeshi women in the Indian prison. Show less
