  One of several Target retail expansion program managers throughout Maryland and Virginia, helping to build a fledgling VHB office in Tysons Corner, VA before the Target program went strictly to internal remodels in 2008. Alongside Target were numerous, large scale feasibility studies, and smaller retail and fueling centers.

  Civil Engineer

  Provided time-sensitive design and construction support for road & infrastructure improvements at Fort Belvoir for USACE-Baltimore under the BRAC 2005 program. Work included onsite charettes and design for military training facilities in Texas and New Mexico, as well as several NAVFAC-Washington projects. The civilian design for military facilities opened up a more advanced structure for exercising my aptitudes for interdisciplinary design management. The simple title of Civil Engineer was a humble understatement of the role.   Solely focused on expanding 7-11 stores within the Mid-Atlantic Region, provided with a dynamic Bentonville, AR development team of architects & engineers, brokering local site design consultants as needed, teaming with local developers and contractors, completing early conceptual design development on dozens of sites just to develop 30 in a year, including site evaluation, P&Z entitlements, architectural and engineering plan designs and processing, permitting, and construction consultation, was a great time!   Client service was always top priority, and the complexity of the projects were a delight, particularly for the Milford Medical Center Improvements, Mascoma Valley Regional High School Expansion, and DTM Autowerks. Getting started in New England with full site civil design and coordination at Meridian taught me a great deal about how local Town regulatory structures differed from the County structure in the mid-Atlantic.
