  I worked two years in the major joint ward, that included injured war vets from Operation Iraqi Freedom, I learned how to do exams, administer medication, documentation, and how to work closely with the RN to help the patients the best way we could I also worked on the geriatric ward for about 4 months where I learned how best to care for the elderlyI also worked on the cardiac ward for 4 months, where I learned about EKG’s and how to read telemetryDuring my time on the wards I became very efficient at IV’s and Phlebotomy After the wards I worked at a PMT (Preventive Medicine Technician) clinic for a year where I learned a lot about vaccines, how to administer them and the vaccine schedules for adults and for childrenI also worked in an Optometry/Ophthalmology clinic where I learned how to make and order eyeglasses and I also learned how to take retinal pictures and more.I also worked in a OB/GYN clinic for two years.
