  • Experience

    • Boys Town

      Sept 2005 - Sept 2012
      Research Associate

      • Isolated NC1 domain sequences from cDNA library and deposited domain sequences in NCBI GenBank.• Generated transgenic mice with inducible expression of anti-angiogenic proteins and conducted in-vivo tumor studies in transgenic mice. • Produced and purified recombinant antiangiogenic proteins in E. coli and Sf9 cells, and identified novel signaling mechanisms of COX2 inhibition by angiogenesis inhibitors.• Tested the anti-angiogenic effects of Hexastatin on MC57 sarcoma cells.

    • Creighton University School of Medicine

      Sept 2012 - Jun 2019

      • Designed and adopted a two guide RNA CRISPR-Cas9 system, for producing BAH1 domain deletion mutant mice. Developed engineered mutant cell lines using lentivirus to deliver CRISPR-Cas9 constructs. • Identified molecular, epigenetic and immunological mechanisms that promote cellular hyperplasia. • Performed co-culture studies to identify the functions of HDAC10 engineered T-cells in inducing proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells.• Was responsible for developing strategic planning, designing effective experimental approaches, evaluating research personnel and conducting lab meetings.
