  As a member of a new product development team, I was involved in the creation of an internet call waiting product for Internet Service Providers (ISPs). This innovative product allowed dial-up subscribers to make and receive calls over IP when their phone lines were occupied for internet access.My role required extensive use of H323, Layer2-4 networking, load balancing, and firewall configuration, including the INSPECT language. As the product was deployed, my responsibilities transitioned towards documentation and training.A memorable moment from this phase was when my manager complimented my training skills, stating, “We may have found someone else who could work with technology the way you have, but we don’t think anyone could have done a better job training.” This affirmation of my ability to not only understand complex technology but also effectively communicate it to others was a significant highlight of my experience.   As an IT Manager at the USA branch, I had the opportunity to work with a wide array of Windows Server technologies. My responsibilities included managing clustered Exchange and load balancers, as well as an AS400 running ERP. I also dealt with VoIP, SonicWALL, and .Net development in Visual Studio, among other scripting tasks.This dynamic work environment allowed me to fully utilize my skills and contribute significantly to the company. I expanded my expertise into relational databases and collaborated with a web development partner to create a new Emuge website. This website featured an online product selection application that provided machinists and engineers with recommended tooling based on their project parameters.Following the success of this initiative, I developed an application that linked our website to our ERP, adding stock, price, and delivery lead times to the tooling recommendations.In addition to these technical responsibilities, I initiated a company newsletter and worked on increasing its reach. The addition of video content proved to be highly impactful. I produced numerous educational videos focusing on machining challenges and principles, which helped our prospective customers understand the complexity of Emuge’s unique tooling solutions.My experience with video presentations led me to become Emuge’s designated presenter at trade shows. This role was particularly rewarding as it allowed me to witness firsthand the impact of well-crafted presentations and interact with individuals who appreciated the online content I had created.   IT Systems Engineer

  In my current role, I am responsible for developing Datto components using PowerShell. Many of these are policy-driven components which are performing nearly 2000 automated compliance, remediation, and onboarding tasks per month. I also spearhead the integration of MSP tools such as Auvik, Pia, and QuickPass into our management framework and oversee the successful deployment of these tools to our customers. To facilitate ongoing learning and development of our employees, I create training videos on MS Stream, currently covering 18 technology topics. Additionally, I organize and execute project-oriented work, including infrastructure deployment and M365 migrations. Another area of technology I take the lead in is monitoring and alerting. Because there are overlapping monitoring systems and because there is so much information available, getting the right information and level of alerting is a craft! So far, this doesn't feel like a skill you ever master as much as you must instead give it consistent, conscientious attention. To demonstrate proficiency with the tools used at ICS, I have acquired certifications in Datto RMM, Auvik, and Sophos. Show less
