  Mechanical technician at SULB.Melt shop(MS) department .Job Learning Outcomes/Responsibilities: Familiarization with the Human Machine Interface (HMI) for checking and filling the checklistsrelated to the Electric arc furnace (EAF), Ladle Furnace (LF), Continuous Casting Machines (CCM), Dust collecting system (DCS) and the raw material (RMH) handling criteria. Have a strong knowledge on the Permit to work system for the Cold, Hot work, Confined spaces & working at heights. Have experience in assembling and disassembling of the shaft from Plummer block and its bearings. Have replaced Heat Exchangers (water to oil) and am familiarized with its functioning and its fixation methods. Familiarization in the field of lubrication for the maintenance of cranes, swivelling bearings and ladle arms for smooth running conditions. Have experience in assembling and dissembling the hydraulic cylinders such as Single and double acting and have knowledge about the oil analysis to check its (National American Standard) NAS value for contamination prevention. The Hydraulic system and its functioning of actuators & valves. Solenoid pneumatic valve replacement Have experience in assembling and maintenance of gearboxes of the units in the plants for the belt conveyors. Am familiarized and have carried out the EAF Booster fan and motor conditioning monitoring along with different areas gear boxes & pumps which includes vibration, temperature & audial inspections and also activities including the dynamic and static balancing of the Centrifugal booster fan has been carried out personally.    Inspection of Pipelines and valves were undertaken. Familiarized with Gas processing plant and its machinery.  A general idea of Gas turbines and their way of functioning and working criteria was learned.  Familiarization with the Gas industry’s tools and machinery equipment’s and materials.  Safety Relief Valves servicing  Reciprocating Air compressor servicing.  Fin fan cooler servicing of fan belts and lubrication activities.  Di penetration test DPT undertaken for inspection of bearings and all crucial equipment.  Diesel engine servicing and commission alongside operators and checking the machines health for insuring proper maintenance.  Air Screw compressor servicing and commissioning done alongside operators.  Globe, Gate & Ball type valves of different dimension replacement & servicing activities carried out.  Liquid & gaseous form Gas Pipelines gasket replacement carried out.  Worked alongside operators to ensure the healthy functioning of compressor stations for avoiding any intervention in production.  Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are healthy and incase machinery has to undergo servicing then a spare machinery has been arranged for stable and undisturbed production.
