      This is a leadership program presented by the United Nations Academic Impact and MCN. It was an honor to be selected as a Millennium Fellow out of 25,000+ applicants. Over the semester, I led my project, The ABCs of mental health, seeking to raise awareness on mental health among low income communities. The aim was to reduce stigmatization of mental illnesses as well as prevent, get early diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. We engaged in webinars with Dr. Omar Hernandez of the United Nations, Juan Chebly of the UN World Food Programme and Katie Strock of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. I earned a certificate recognizing successful completion from the United Nations Academic Impact and MCN. In our various schools, we engaged in 10 leadership sessions to cultivate core values of empathy, humility, inclusion in leadership and social impact. I honed skills including how to write a budget and set and meet strategic goals. I helped build a community of practice - sharing best practices across organizations. Show less
