      Enlisted in the Navy as a Nuclear Electricians Mate and served 2 1/2 years as an Electrician's Mate. I was accepted to the Naval Academy and served in Annapolis from July 1994 to December 1998. I was a Company Commander for the July 1997 Freshman Class. I was Commissioned as an Ensign in December 1998 and attended Nuclear Power School in Charleston, SC, Naval Nuclear Prototype in Balston Spa, NY and Naval Submarine School in Groton, CT prior to reporting to my first submarine in July 2000.
