It aimed to reimagine the boundary between the city and the sea as a potential-rich adaptive public realm, where ecological, social and economic flows intersect to create a connective interface.Grounded in place-based approach and complexity theory, the research developed a set of "generative'' strategies for interventions in the city-sea boundary space which create conditions for the emergence of a connective interface. This by encouraging interactions between the people and the built and natural environment on one hand, and social interactions on the other hand. Show less
