      The lead of the Laboratory Documentation Project applying the Lean Six Sigma methodology (DMAIC).Project consisted of the improvement of the efficiency in the Raw Material Laboratory, standardizing and reducing the test documentation process time, resulting in additional laboratory capacity to assume new products.Proposed goal and achievements- Reduce the documentation process time 50% of the raw materials with the highest demand of previous years. To obtain this goal, three preprinted notebooks for three different raw materials were performed with the required information per analysis. The results exceed the goal with a reduction of 78%, 74% and 70% for the individual raw materials of the documentation process time resulting in 224 annual saving hours. Other achievements: Obtained Yellow Belt and Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma.Knowledge acquired: LIMS, GMP, SOP, STP, Logbooks, Machines Calibration, documentation audit. Show less

      Design of a manufacturing pneumatic press used for the assembly of medical devices. The design intent of the press was to make it multifunctional to assembly multiples devices and to be in compliance with the different procedures of assembly by changing the specific accessories for each product.Project Benefits: Simplify the maintenance and repair process, improve the efficiency of the manufacturing processes & provide flexibility to the manufacturing area. The design of this press was made in solid works program with a material selection to comply with the specifications needed of safety factors based on the force applied, fatigue and maintenance. Part of the team and inspector in charge of validating the assembly floor specifications (AFS) used by mechanics in the field to assemble the airplane engines components. Activities include: identify that the correct parts are well located in the engine, comparing the AFS’s with the engine drawings requirements and verify that all be in compliance with the specifications and regulations. CAPP2 to Solumina Conversion. Part of the team in charge to perform the Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP2) to Solumina data base instruction conversion used to manufacture the engines parts.
