The 85 year old lives in a Melbourne care facility, and was physically unable to speak loudly. Her emotional recollection of the first conversation with her neighbor and best friend - with the help of a voice amplifier and speech pathologist Olga Birchall - was captured on video and seen by over 122,000 people online. These videos, along with an infographic and other content, resulted in an increase in Facebook followers by 5.7 per cent, as well as more than four times the social media engagement and 16 times the #SPWeek reach compared to the previous Speech Pathology Week.“Out of many outstanding submissions, we found Pesel & Carr’s work to truly set a new standard of excellence for all practitioners. We congratulate them and look forward to seeing their future successes in this field,” said Justine Figueroa, senior marketing coordinator for the award program. Show less
