These were the largest projects in this period for transmission (mainly in backbone) carried out by Alcatel Poland for main customer: TPSA (Telekomunikacja Polska) - the main telecom operator in Poland.Main big projects:Construction of SDH transmission backbone network for TPSATask performed in this project was construction of the network (network with nationwide coverage) covering the main needs of TPSA for SDH transmission in transit and regional layers. Network includes: SDH rings, cross-connects SDXC (based on 1660SM and 1641SX Alcatel equipment) and management system (HP servers with Alcatel application).NEMS – Network Elements Management Systems for TPSAThe project has provided construction of complex NEMS for TPSA regional telecom networks. As a result of the project 29 existing local transmission networks and local management systems have been integrated into centralized NEMS. There are 2 NEMS centers equipped with HP servers and Alcatel application. The project has also included upgrade and unification of operation software in over 3000 different network elements (SDH, DWDM equipment).Development of DWDM backbone network for TPSAThe project task was to expand the national backbone network to increase its rate for transmission needs. New DWDM network (based on 1696SM Alcatel equipment) has been performed during this project. These were projects in transmission in Orange Polska backbone network carried out by Nokia (Alcatel-Lucent Poland)Main projects realized within this period:Extension of transmission ROADM backbone network.Following completed in 2016 projects ROADM network has been extended by new ROADM and FOADM nodes, migration of existing ILA and FOADM nodes to ROADM nodes as well as extension of direction in existing ROAM nodes. Completion of project migration of transmission traffic from old cross-connects SDXC to OXCThe project purpose was migration of transmission traffic from SDXC (Alcatel: 1641SX) to OXC (Alcatel-Lucent: 1678MCC) in transmission backbone nodes (Poznan and Warsaw). The first commercial use of this network was transmission of Euro 2012 Football Cup from Poland and Ukraine. ROADM network has been extended following completed projects in next years.Expansion of ASON (Automatically Switched Optical Network) in transmission backboneThe Project consists expansion of ASON network by new nodes equipped with OXC (Alcatel-Lucent: 1678MCC). The GMPLS functionality has been implemented to all nodes. Migration of transmission traffic from old cross-connects SDXC to OXCThe project purpose was migration of transmission traffic from SDXC (Alcatel: 1641SX) to OXC (Alcatel-Lucent: 1678MCC) at main transmission backbone nodes of Orange Poland. Execution of project has been divided into steps (2-4 nodes per year) due to big capacity of traffic (domestic and international) from many different clients of Orange.
