      In 1998, we moved to the South West and I was thrilled to become part of the national publications team, part of the corporate services team at the head office in Bristol.This team was responsible for producing over 250 national publications, working through the writing, editing, translating, design and production of these publications for public, staff and academics audiences.It was an interesting role and I learned a great deal about scheduling large projects and managing the design requirements of bilingual publications.It was a great way to work with fantastic local design agencies as well developing new relationships with a range of suppliers for environmental print services. Show less This role was a great opportunity and a promotion from the PR assistant role I was currently in.The role enabled me to responsible for whole of the North West region, linking in with the national publications and exhibition teams in the whole of the UK.I managed the publications and exhibitions budgets of over £400,000 for the region. Dealing with internal clients, external design agencies and print houses.I was also responsible for the numerous call off contracts for external suppliers.In addition, this role gave me invaluable media experience as I was part of the 24 hour call team for media enquiries and had daily liaison and constant interaction with Press Officer assisting with press enquiries for the regional media.
