Have worked on highly complex discern rules and mpages during this tenure like Oncology summary mpage, Clinical decision support to add secondary diagnosis, smart zone alerts , Clinical Trials Mpage etc. I lead a team from backend Cerner side where we built a Healthcare data archiving solution from scratch using Java and Oracle.

  As a software development manager, I was managing a team of 25 SQL, QA and ETL resources, where my role was to make sure we were following correct processes, coding standards, minimum bugs, meeting the deadlines, resolving conflicts, assigning work , client interaction, making sure scrums were happening and team was on track. The latest project was related to Cerner healthcare data archiving, where we used to write SQL views and procedures, so my role also was to make sure we are following HIPAA rules and regulations. I ensured that the project was delivered in time. Everything was tracked in Jira properly, code was checked-in to bit bucket repository, QA team followed all test cases, Development team got minimum issues and ETL team worked effectively. Since I am a CCL developer, I also keep some development work for myself, because I enjoy doing that. I am actively involved in training freshers and experienced people in Cerner data model. It involved mpages, discern rules, smart templates, CCL reports etc. I was doing requirement analysis, attending client calls for requirement clarifications, creating technical and deployment documents, managing a big team, making sure we meet deadlines. I also worked on a product that we built from scratch which can be used by hospitals if there is a server downtime. very challenging and exciting role and I thoroughly enjoyed. Show less
