      Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Financial Director, responsible for a team of 3 procurement staff (including stores), with an annual spend of 5.5 million.Negotiating and implementing purchase agreements to the value of 500k across a diverse portfolio of revenue expenditure including service contracts, uniforms, electrical and mechanical engineering components, Raw material, Freight services, IT services including software, hardware and service agreements, utilities, communications, engineering services and stationery items. Introducing and maintaining service contracts to effectively communicate agreements, including European and Far East supply chain. Initiation, Management and reporting of cash-flow strategies across the organisation. A significant part of this role centred on problem solving.Development and implementation of a ‘new’ procurement strategy within an Engineering organisation with a 5.5 million pound annual spend, including creation of JIT consumables system, Stock system, Bill of Material systems and Terms and Conditions, Vendor rating and approval system (including benchmarking), Tender procedures and Risk Management system. Strategy included reducing supply base by 30% showing a 12% saving annually, achieved by creating closer relationships within the supply chain.
