      In May 2018, I began my new role as Senior Manger, Benefits and Pension. In this role, I am responsible for the management of our US and Canadian benefits and pension plans for over 3500 employees and retirees. I am also implementing organization wellness initiatives that will support our company values.In addition to the on-going monitoring of our various benefit and pension plans, I will also be responsible for the on-going maintenance and implementation of our plans, as well as rolling out new system features as they become available.Prior to this position with Liberty Utilities, I held the various positions listed below. Show less In January 2015, I began my new role as Benefits Manger. In this role, I am responsible for the management of our US and Canadian benefits plans for almost 1500 employees. I am also implementing organization wellness initiatives that will support our company values.In addition to the on-going monitoring of our various benefit plans, I will also be responsible for maintaining the benefits modules of our Dayforce system. This include the on-going maintenance and implementation of our plan changes, as well as rolling out new system features as they become available.Prior to this position with Liberty Utilities, I held the various positions listed below. Show less In this role, I assisted with the management of our US and Canadian payrolls & related benefits for 1000+ employees. While in this role, I was also involved with 7 acquisitions and the setup of new payrolls and benefit plans. Prior to this growth through acquisition, I also lead the implementation of our current payroll system, switching from ADP to Ceridian HPL. This implementation involved the evaluation of our company structure at that time, and recommendations on how we could streamline our payroll processing. I was also involved with the review and renewal of our US and Canadian benefits, and also lead plan carrier changes for our Canadian benefits. In addition, I provided assistance during our many union negotiations and I also participated in the 2011 negotiations.In addition to this role, since April 2014, I was the Payroll Implementation Lead for our new HRIS Implementation project to Ceridian Dayforce. This required me to assist with the development of our new payroll system and how it will integrate with our new WFM system and current financial systems. Once again, I was involved with the evaluation of our current company structure and making recommendations on how the payroll processing can be further streamlined. I was also required to document all new procedures and complete all testing before going live. Show less In this role I became responsible for the payroll department. I continued to process various payrolls, preparing and entering journal entries, performing account reconciliations and benefits administration. I also lead the upgrade of our current ADP payroll system. In this role I began my involvement with US payrolls & benefit plans, and began taking many US payroll courses.
