      Insolvency Consultant

The primary responsibilities within this role was taking inbound calls from potential clients and performing assessments of their debts and financial circumstances. Following ths assessment, I would discuss the available options with that customer, either for consolidating their existing debts or looking into personal insolvency agreements, either IVAs or declaration of bankruptcy. In the last 6 months of the role I was seconded to a newly-formed team who specialised in capturing customers who had been processed through the IVA channel but had been unable to qualify for that solution. I would perform a secondary assessment as to whether an administered Debt Management Plan (DMP) would be able to provide a relief from debt. Show less

    • E.ON UK

      Jul 2008 - Dec 2013
      Customer Service Advisor

I have been involved with the development of EON's Operational Excellence programme in EON Prepayment in the capacity of Local Change Agent.Prior to this, I worked in the debt investigations area of the business, dealing with accounts where our Prepayment customers had ceased vending. Key aspects of this were understanding the reasons for the change in customer vend habits which could be as a result of meter faults, fraud or meter interference, self-disconnection, financial hardships or changes in occupancy status. Within this role, I developed an Excel-based tool bringing together key functions and information sources to increase employee efficiency.Within the debt project I took ownership of dealing with our unsupported Restricted Hours Tariff (RHT) customers, developing the processes required to allow us to provide an element of support to these customers. I created the tools used to work these accounts and trained additional FTE to assist with this function. As a result of this work the RHT project removed over £600k of bad debt, brought in over £5k per week of previously lost revenue and allowed us to support over 500 previously unsupported customers to prevent further debt build-up.Following the blending of the debt investigation work and front office customer service functions, I worked with the Operational Excellence programme as a subject matter expert, bringing my in-depth knowledge of Prepayment operational processes to support the project leads and navigators with analysis of MI and an understanding of the environment and its challenges. Dec 2013 - Apr 2015
      Senior Data Analyst

Working in the Operational Analysis team under the Resource Planning umbrella, my key responsibilities were the production and distribution of MI existing reports and the development of new data sources. This included responding to specific instance data requests and the design and implementation of new regular reports, working with MS Excel, MS Access and IBM Cognos.Data requests range from agent performance MI (telephony, sales, quality & compliance etc.) to business KPIs. The reporting is sent to all levels of business, from Team Leaders up to executive level.I worked with a 3rd party company, CDL, on the migration of data in Cognos; to ensure compatibility with existing reporting and investigating potential enhanced functionality these could deliver. The testing phase requires building comparative reports using multidimensional data, and testing against the functionality of new bespoke indicators. Following the migration into the new release I will be reconstructing reports where appropriate to utilise the new indicators, assuming successful and satisfactory results of testing.I also built a database in MS Access for the Accounts Administration team. This included a front-end user interface to allow the quick, easy and controlled submission of data by the Accounts Admin team, with a view to reducing MI errors and the corrective workload required under the current process.I have been in regular consultation with key stakeholders from Agent to Section Manager level to ensure that user requirements are met; in particular the ease of use of the GUI, ensuring data integrity, creating a dynamic system requiring less work to update, and providing enhanced reporting capabilities.
