The final level of my internship at SoftServe Academy introduced us to real-world projects alongside other developers. We were immersed in the dynamics of genuine collaborative efforts, team planning, and effective communication. Daily kick-off meetings, sprint retrospectives, and consistent progress tracking became an integral part of this experience. We embraced well-defined roles and weekly documentation of our accomplishments.Throughout this project, I utilized a myriad of tools, including Maven, Git, PostgreSQL, Swagger, Microsoft Azure, Project Lombok, JUnit, Spring Security, Mockito, among many others. Most notably, I gained my first hands-on experience in designing RESTful architecture, engaging in the entire development lifecycle, from entity creation to repositories, services, and controllers. This experience unveiled the inner workings and collaboration between Backend, Frontend, testing teams, and DevOps.Above all, it crystallized my determination to become an integral part of this world. What truly inspires me is the sense of shared purpose and the camaraderie in working within a team. Show less My educational journey at SoftServe began with completing fundamental courses, including Java, HTML/CSS/JS, databases, and DevOps.The practical phase involved participating in 18 sprint stages. Each sprint presented 18 diverse tasks covering various aspects of Java programming. The final 9 stages entailed working in teams. Every 2.5 days brought a new team of 3-4 participants and a new task with strict deadlines. Each task was considered completed only when it reached 100% fulfillment. This unique educational program not only elevated my technical skills but also improved my social skills, such as effective communication, active listening, self-organization, and discipline. Additionally, it allowed me to master the art of working under stress and swiftly adapting to new teams and tasks. Show less
