We are responsible for assisting guests with various needs throughout their event.The Fairplex at Pomona is host to many large events including the LA Fair and the semiannual NHRA Drag Races. These large events require that we acommodate the likes of groups of up to 3,000 people. As an employee for Starwood Hotels, we are also given the opportunity to work large events off-site at other Starwood Hotels such as the St. Regis Monarch Hotel in Dana Point or the W hotel in Hollywood.   As a Merchandiser at Hangar 24 I am responsible for distributing all Hangar 24 Distribution products throughout the Riverside-Inland Empire area. On a daily route, I visit up to 16 stores (both small and large chain) and distribute product throughout the stores by filling shelves, building POS displays, and working to acquire more floor space for products. Communication is key as a merchandiser in that I must constantly stay in contact with drivers, sales reps, store receivers and managers. Communication is essential when maintaining a time schedule and fitting all required stores into an eight hour shift. As merchandisers, we are the last hand to touch Hangar 24 products before they are ultimately sold to customers and consumers. In the time that I have worked at Hangar 24 I have been given the opportunity to run both of the routes for the Riverside area, each with their own set of requirements concerns. Being a merchandiser forces you to work under little or no supervision every day. Trust and responsibility are what make hard workers into merchandisers. I believe that I have become a productive merchandiser with the help of Hangar 24's trust and delegated responsibility. Show less
