  Dragon boat racing is the fastest growing water sport in the world. Helping to drive that expansion in North America is Great White North (GWN) Dragon Boat, the continent’s largest, full-service dragon boat racing company. Each year, GWN produces more than 40 dragon boat events including Major League Dragon Boat (MLDB), a series of eight premier dragon boat events. Collectively, I was an integrated part of the Marketing team that helped raise millions of dollars for community and charitable partners, offered start-to-finish event management services, corporate team-building experiences, social marketing initiatives, premier training camps, and equipment sales and leases.As a contracted Marketing Director-Midwest Market, my responsibilities included:♦️ Recruited over 60 participants and developed new participation in the Inaugural 2013 Chicago International Dragon boat race. ♦️ Engaged and supported new corporate team development and implemented a program to achieve 97% of growth targets. ♦️ Worked with charitable partners within the Greater Chicago areas and its volunteers to engage key stakeholders, vendors, and supporters to both participate and fundraise.
