  I taught Italian as a second language in a middle school to small groups of students with varying levels of proficiency.   First as a doctoral researcher and then as a postdoc, I conducted research in Italian linguistics and text linguistics as team member of a project financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation. I also taught Italian language and linguistics in university-level classes.My research has dealt mainly with text structure and punctuation in contemporary Italian. I also performed various administrative and academic work alongside research and teaching. My tasks included editing and proofreading various texts (including two books), creating handouts and presentations, creating and maintaining websites and small linguistic corpora, information retrieval, event organization, general and technical support during classes and events.I also authored or co-authored eight academic publications and gave fourteen presentations at various academic events both in Switzerland and abroad.   I performed localization quality control for the Italian market for RWS Moravia’s client, a major global video streaming company. My responsibilities included conducting thorough linguistic and UX testing of the client’s product, including localized metadata and UI changes, in order to ensure a smooth and authentic user experience.The testing process included verification of linguistic correctness and cultural appropriateness of localized material; verification of adherence to internal style guidelines; logging issues in Jira and tracking them until resolution.
