  Youth Minister

  As Youth Pastor, I developed curriculum and led Bible Studies, Fundraisers, Mission Trips, Outings, and all other youth activities. I was also responsible for managing all funds concerning the youth program at Concord Baptist Church. I created and managed Facebook and Twitter pages and groups for the youth group as well. I edited and created photo slideshows and videos with full audio tracts which were posted on those sites. I had the opportunity to preach on several occasions of our regular Sunday Morning Worship Services and travelled to other churches when asked to do the same. I also wrote a quarterly column for our church newsletter and kept church members abreast of activities and Bible Study curriculum we covered in our meetings. In addition to leading the group, I counseled youth members and parents, attended performances and athletic events of students, and took part in graduation celebrations, birthdays, and other special events for the students.   Substitute Teacher

  As a Substitute Teacher, I was contacted either by school administrators or, more frequently, by teachers who needed someone to cover classes for part of one day up to two months at a time. I substituted at the Jr. High School and the High School and I was the exclusive substitute teacher used at the Pike County Alternative School for two years. I taught various classes including the entire core curriculum for all grade levels, art, physical education, computer science, agriculture science, music, foreign language, and special education.   Volunteer ESL Teacher

  Feb 2011 - May 2013

  Homework Tutor/ESL Teacher

  A group of families from central and south America invited me into their homes with other volunteers and we helped students from kindergarten to 9th grade with homework and conversational English. We also had short Bible studies with the students and worked the stories into ESL curriculum. While in the homes, we were able to help parents with English as well as translate documents and help with cultural and societal differences encountered upon their arrival from overseas.

  I worked with two local authors to edit and publish a book of essays and poems. In addition, I work with a small business that produces custom knives, one of the local authors, and two local churches to provide technical services on their computers. I also set up, oversee, and produce their social media pages and content for those pages.

  Campus Minister

  As Campus Minister, I organized and directed student-led Bible studies, worship services, and special events weekly. I also counseled students, led mission trips, and created curriculum and taught Bible studies regularly. At the Lagrange College campus, I directly supervised financial accounts as well.
