  Solo lead for 12 juniors in high school for a week long backpacking trip in Pisgah National Forest. Developed experience teaching outdoor skills, the principals of leave no trace, wilderness safety and protocol, trail etiquette, and proper use of outdoor equipment.

  Experience as a facilitator for Verdun includes leading initiatives, catching zips, group belay, assisting participants with goal setting and reflection, implementing the philosophies of challenge by choice and step up step back, co-facilitation, and working with groups of over 60 participants. I work for Verdun seasonally over summers.

Skills/experience includes sending and catching zips, performing rescues on high ropes elements and familiarity with rescue equipment, individual and group belay, extensive knot tying knowledge, facilitating individual and partner high ropes elements, running through ground school with participants, course maintenance, and leading reflection. Experience as a lead facilitator includes goal setting with groups prior to their arrival, itinerary building and sequencing, making programming accessible for participants with disabilities and/or injuries, leading participants through challenge by choice and step up step back philosophies, facilitating initiatives, low and high ropes elements, and reflection.
