My projects were based around mechanical assets including: Boilers and pressure piping, material handling systems and fans & compressors.I contributed to various project deliveries; highlights include asset failure analysis, technical document development and non-destructive testing during a supercritical unit major outage.

During this time I developed tender documents, performed project planning & programming and controlled quality assurance documents for shutdowns. Key highlight was operating at Worsley Alumina in Western Australia as the QA/ QC Engineer during a turbine-generator overhaul.

  Operating on-site between Tarong Power Station, Tarong North Power Station, Meandu Mine, and Stanwell Power Station, I delivered projects aligned with the life extension, asset strategy and asset management of complex mechanical systems. Highlight of my responsibilities included managing teams of contractors during major shutdowns to deliver condition monitoring and non-destructive testing (NDT) results on critical assets and weighing the results for operational impact with asset owner engineers.   Reliability & Asset Management Engineer

  Based at the Curragh Complex, I developed Asset Management documentation from the ground up, including an AM Policy, built the supporting framework documentation and drafted asset management plans for the functional areas for the Mine Complex. I implemented targeted condition monitoring strategies; including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis as part of maintenance asset strategy and asset criticality ranking. I led failure analysis and defect elimination programs through Root-Cause Analysis and ICAM efforts to identify and address underlying problems & contributing factors to asset failures. After major events or critical inspections I conducted group risk assessments that identified the potential and historical failure modes of an asset in order to quantify the residual risk level for continued use.   Coordinator-Engineer Rural Operations

  Operating out of the RRC Gracemere Depot, I oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance and construction works across the rural road network. I lead and manage approx. 40 persons inclusive of plant & equipment operators, team leaders/leading hands and supervisors. I project manage capital works and coordinate the resources, budgets, and stakeholder communications to maintain and improve road infrastructure throughout the rural network.
