  Served as Executive Director of the Corporation with Board members appointed by the City Council. Position answered directly to the City Manager. Key accomplishments include an agressive business retention program, successful "spec" building program and expansion of retail tax base.

  Executive Director

  Served as the first Executive Director hired by the Buda EDC Board of Directors. Buda citizens voted in 2001 to support one-half cent sales tax for economic development. Revenues quadrupled over 5 years. Major projects completed during my tenure include establishment of a Downtown Grant Program, completion of Buda Truck Bypass, Cabela's project and associated infrastructure, and US Foodservice Distribution Center.

  As Executive Director, I enjoyed my time in South Texas. The impact of the Eagle Ford Shale will be felt in the region for years to come. Highlights of my time in Alice include: Re-energizing the downtown business district, undertaking a comprehensive housing study, assisted with a city-wide job fair effort and served as a team member on the Multi-use Complex project.

  Currently serving the in the City of Forney, just a short 21 miles east of Dallas. Forney EDC is a "Type B" economic development corporation with a yearly budget of $1.9M. As one of the fastest growing communities in DFW, challenges include managing that growth, attraction additional quality retailers, addressing transportation needs and building our employer base. Current projects include the continued redevelopment of downtown, extending and improving utility infrastructure and partnering with the Petro-Hunt group to develop the 2,000 acre Gateway development.   Currently serve as economic development director for the City of Waxahachie as of June 8, 2020. Waxahachie is the county seat of Ellis County, Texas and is a fast growing, business friendly community featuring opportunities in all sectors: Industrial, Commercial, Office and Retail.
