  Led technical staff and system administration teams supporting major Bell Labs R&D customers in North NJ and PA. Services included IBM and Amdahl mainframes running MVS and UTS; UNIX/SunOS/Solaris, NT and Windows. Administered GCOS systems and was a core member of the team responsible for installing the first Cray-1 supercomputer at Bell Labs.

Directly managed team of 25 AIX/Windows/Linux system administrators, network engineers, Level-1 helpdesk, batch operators, ID administrators, and malware administrators. Provided high availability hosting platform that exceeded SLA of 99.9% up time. Proactively managed capacity growth to ensure optimal performance. Directed application of patches and fixes to computing environment including system upgrades. Facilitated program change request initiation, solution generation, and rollout to customer facing production environments. Was accountable for managing system issue management processes in accordance with compliance requirements. Liaised with regulators, passing 3 government directed security compliance audits on an annual basis. Led efforts to replace legacy hardware with updated IBM P-series and X-series servers, managed storage systems, HIDS (host intrusion detection) and NIPS (network intrusion prevention) capabilities.
