  Trainee Design Engineer

  During my 6-month university internship at Elastomeric Engineering Horana Sri Lanka, I worked as a Trainee Design Engineer within the Design Engineering Department. This role provided me with the opportunity to develop and apply my engineering skills in a real-world environment, and to gain valuable experience working with industry professionals.As a Trainee Design Engineer, I was responsible for creating and modifying design plans, and for providing technical support to the Engineering Department. I worked closely with senior design engineers, and was able to learn from their expertise and experience in the field of engineering.Throughout my internship, I was able to develop a strong foundation in computer-aided design software, and was able to use these tools to create detailed and accurate design plans. I also gained valuable experience in project management, and was able to contribute to the successful completion of several projects during my time at Elastomeric Engineering.One of the key strengths that I brought to this role was my ability to work collaboratively with others. I was able to communicate effectively with team members, and was always willing to take on new challenges and tasks.Overall, my experience as a Trainee Design Engineer at Elastomeric Engineering Horana Sri Lanka was a valuable and rewarding one.   As an Assistant Manager of the Engineering Department, I have had the privilege of leading a team of 10 highly skilled and motivated engineers and draftspersons. Our department specializes in computer-aided designing, drafting, and engineering projects, and we work diligently to ensure that each project is completed to the highest standards.During my time as Assistant Manager, I have been responsible for overseeing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and that the quality of work produced is exceptional. I have also been actively involved in the recruitment and training of new team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the department.In addition to my managerial duties, I have also remained hands-on in my approach to engineering and drafting, regularly collaborating with my team members to provide technical guidance and expertise.
