  Vmf is a financial services company/hub with focus on financial markets, portfolio management and provision of accountancy software to SMEs.At Vmf, we were contracted to develop an alternate platform for their 5nkap accountancy management software. The current platform was not scalable, slow, minimal support for voice driven operations, correctness violation(domain-wise) and could not handle real-time operations. The platform we build Supported almost all the short comings of the previous application. I worked as a full stack engineer with the primary area of focus being frontend development.   At PREN, with a development team of six(5 developers, 1 designer) we adopted a microservice enterprise deployment architecture and developed a highly interactive and multilingual social media platform with features such as: posts and comments, real-time short video service: reals, user stories, real-time video streaming and persistence using AWS, content monetization, user and social grouping pages, real-time multi-channel notification service., I was primarily In charge of the video streaming service and the payment service including their frontend mobile modules but also worked on the posts service and other payment, geo based services, modules(we rotated roles). Throughout the course of the work, I worked on video streaming microservice (using the tools: ffmpeg, node media server, nodejs, and go) that involved real-time data ingestion from RTP and RSTP, RTMP from enabled sources(Broadcast camera, software-defined & on demand sources for still content) and ensured proper real-time encoding and transcoding, compression and delivery(over, HLS, DASH, FLV) over the network to watchers while allowing for real-time interactions. More on, I developed the foundation for the payment system. A multi escrow-account centered transactional, asynchronous and traceable service that allows monetization of content(posts & reals) & supports international payment(selected countries and payments methods: mobile money, debit cards, direct bank transfers) while ensuring a locally fixed conversion rate for content.
