  Internship trainee

  I developed an script that implemented and algorithm to improve the performance of an optical transmission system using plastic optical fiber (POF). Then I carried out the laboratory experiments to try the algorithm in an actual optical setup. I wrote a paper summarizing the experiments that where done. We demonstrated improvement in the data rates when adding the algorithm to the initial transmission using MultiCAP and OFDM as modulation formats.

  Bachelor thesis

  Title: “Advanced transmission techniques for higher spectral efficiency in plastic optical fiber (POF)”. During this period I continued with the research during my internship in the I3A. I developed different algorithms to improve the data rate and spectral efficiency in a POF. I did a very deep research and did the experiments and measurements with different kinds of POFs to validate and confirm the effectiveness of the techniques I applied.

We created a complete domotics solution for Smart Homes including light and shades control, security control and other comfort systems. We also developed a complete solution for Touristic Apartments to make their management easier, which included automated check-in, air conditioning and heating control, security control, noise control and other measures to reduce energy expenditure.
