      - Engineering & Design - Substation Design (Nov 2022 – Feb 2024)• Completed AC load calculations to determine if a new customer load can be added to the substation. • Redevelop MATHCAD calculations to determine the wind, weight and short circuit forces on gantries due to sagging conductors. • Created label schedules for switchboards. • Simulated resistor banks using ATPDraw to analyse power distribution and current flow for a variety of scenarios. • Automated processes regularly completed by the team to reduce laborious time spent on these processes using VBA and Python. • Prepared plant request forms for primary equipment. • Completed plant inspection checks. - Engineering & Design - Automation (Jun 2022 – Nov 2022)• Completed wiring, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation equipment. • Developed Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for several substations. • Tested the functionality of the HMIs by simulating points using an RTU. • Marked up drawings for a new asset to be added in the relay room. - Engineering & Design - Telecommunications (Nov 2021 – Jun 2022)• Used HTZ Communications for Microwave planning and coverage calculations for new Western Power sites. • Optimised site locations to significantly reduce overall cost of the project. • Developed and documented new procedures to determine the interference to these new sites as well to determine the percentage of the area of the Western Power network that is covered by digital mobile radio. • Completed bushfire risk management plans and workplace risk assessment plans. • Completed substation training.
