  As Branch Assistant Manager, my role was to manage a small, diverse team of branch based customer service and sales staff to achieve a high level of customer service and targeted sales goals.Ensuring that the culture, values and goals of this 140 year old mutual were embedded into our branch were key to our success and identity and in this, working for the Leeds provided me with a deep appreciation of what it is to be a financial organisation driven by one core aim, that of benefitting its membership and the community it exists within.Over a two year period our management team progressed branch performance with tremendous success, moving into the top ten branches nationally which was recognised by senior management. In addition to my management responsibilities, I was the main mortgage adviser within the branch.I was involved in the recruiting and developing of staff to improve performance and maintain levels of service as set out by the wider organisation.I left the Leeds to develop myself as an independent mortgage and protection broker and to embark on a career within the wider financial world.   Having spent 7 years as an independent mortgage broker, I joined Countrywide as Mortgage and Protection Consultant with the aim of providing a high level of customer service to new and existing clients via the UK's largest property services group.My role included generating mortgage and protection opportunities for myself via referrals and recommendations as well as servicing potential clients from the estate agency side of the business. My role included providing mentoring support to new advisers.During my time here I progressed from Mortgage Consultant through to Senior Executive Mortgage Consultant, consistently achieving sales targets without compromising the quality of advice and customer service I provided. I departed Countrywide as a previous 'Champions League' winner for the Southern region.I left Countrywide to join Stuart Belcher in developing Resolve Financial Solutions as a market leading brokerage and provider of mortgage, protection, retirement and investment advice with the concepts of sustainability and top quality customer service at its core.
