Capwell is a recruitment company with operations spread throughout the Netherlands. Capwell hires skilled IT professionals for full-time and contract based roles for different industries. Before starting out, Capwell had two websites: capwell.nl and experts4office.nl. The websites served as the main source of business queries and leads. The company also had an in-house CRM for managing leads and client communication.I joined a small team of 2 developers (1 Team Lead and 1 Back-end engineer) and 1 designer. My role was to assist the team on front-end development. Our first project was to re-vamp the main Capwell.nl website with a fresh look, ease of use and integrate location based search tools for companies to find IT professionals. We followed a tight feedback loop with the designer and business team to develop and deliver the website in 4 months. The new website had following features:- Location based search integrated with Google Maps to search IT professionals based on skills- A CMS system integrated with website to publish blogs and manage content- An internationalization system for Dutch and English translations of the website- Custom inquiry forms and email integrations to manage the pipeline and leadsThe second project was to re-vamp the sister website Experts4Office and bring it up to par with the main website. We were able to complete and deliver the website in just 2 months. The components developed for the main website were re-used for the sister website with a different color theme. The next problem for the business team was to improve the workflows, team output and efficiency with in-house tools. The old CRM system was not the cut for the right job. Over the next couple of months, our team worked on the following solutions:- Migrated data from old CRM to Salesforce- Customized Salesforce for better user experience and streamlined workflows- Built a mass mailing outreach tool to approach potential clients Show less

    • SPQR Operations B.V - Netherlands

      Nov 2020 - Oct 2022

With the successful delivery of the marketing website of the agency and the bot trading platform, I was offered a full time position as a Front-end developer.SPQR agency is a full-stack agency that provides end to end product development, deployment and maintenance services. I was part of the product development team for the web projects. My time at SPQR agency helped me to understand the full product cycle using the right tools. I got to actively interact and use the following tools and technologies:Ideation and wireframing -> Miro, FigmaProduct design -> FigmaFront-end Development -> React.js, Next.js, SocketsBack-end Development -> .NET, Nest.js, FirebaseCMS -> SquidexInternationalization -> TraudoraProduct emails -> Customer.ioImage CDN -> MinIOVersion Control System -> GitLabPipelines -> Docker, GitlabCode Coverage -> SonarQubeDeployment -> RancherI was part of the front-end team for more than 20 projects at the agency. Here are some of the best projects that I have worked on:- Autofill: A dashboard application to view 3D models of vehicle fleet for proactive maintenance- Klus: A platform for Lawncare service companies to manage jobs, technicians and materials- Boddy: A web and mobile application for travellers to book gym classes close to their hotels- Lalaaji: Alibaba for Pakistan. A B2B ecommerce solution for merchants and buyers for international trade in Pakistan- Phusion9: A cryptoexchange like Binance to trade cryptocurrencies- T11h: A KYC platform for banks to analyze risk profile before lending- Truexy: A document tracking platform to track document views, reading progress and status- Legal: A B2C application for law firms to track, manage and evaluate legal cases and requests Show less I started with SPQR as a part time Junior Front-end Developer. My first project was to build a new agency website for marketing and lead generation. The only requirement was to build the project in React. This project pushed me to learn React and helped me to transition from Vue. This project made me realize that although there are many ships of front-end frameworks, all of them sail in the same sea. I enjoyed learning React and a new CSS framework Scss in this project. I was able to deliver the project in 4 weeks. The good work with the company website and my quick learning capability helped me to get the next project. The next project was to build a single page application for an internal bot trading platform. The main behind the project was to build a system to create trading bots. Trading bots will have profit and loss parameters. Bots will use the parameters to automatically book and close trades on crypto exchange for a specific pair of cryptocurrencies. The bot trading platform introduced me to the world of B2B software and this learning marked a change in the trajectory of my career. I was fascinated by the idea of building software to solve real-world problems. The team for this project was global and remote. It helped me to develop the skills of async communication and remote work early on. Our team consisted of developers working from Netherlands, Russia and Pakistan. All in all, I worked with a team of backend developers and contributed to the project in the following way:- Developed the front-end architecture for the bot trading platform using React and web sockets- Communicated with the client, designer and backend team to develop the UI of the application- Moderated feedback calls with client to get early feedback on the product- Collaborated with the backend team for API design and API integration on the front-end Show less

      Co-Founder

90% of the IT graduates of Pakistani universities are not readily employable for the industry. I faced this problem first-hand in SPQR agency where I was responsible for interviewing candidates for front-end roles. It took 3-5 months to find a suitable candidate and it affected the timeline of projects. In order to solve the problem, we started an in-house training program to train and nurture IT gradudates. I personally trained and up-skilled 3 IT graduates to Junior Front-end positions for the agency. This was a bigger problem. IT graduates were lacking industry skills to help them land a job. I discussed the idea of a bootcamp with my co-founder and we kicked off TopCamp with a landing page.It was summer time and we landed 50+ submissions in 3 weeks. The reality hit when we started calling. We were only able to close 10% of the total submissions. Another 2 weeks and we were able to sign up 3 more students. We were aiming for 10 but 8 was a good start. We wanted to test the curriculum on students and graduates at different stages. The cohort students belonged to following programs:- 2 IT graduates- 2 Freshmen year students- 2 Junior year students- 2 Higher secondary gradudatesThe bootcamp was 4 month long with 20 hours of live interactive sessions. The focus of bootcamp was on front-end technologies. We created an online course website to host the curriculum that covered the following topics in detail:- HTML- CSS- Basics of Programming- Javascript- Package managers- React- React libaries like Redux, React Query- Api IntegrationWe divided the curriculum by week and kicked off. It was a wild ride, it brought so much clarity to the core concepts for us and it helped us learn about the market. We were able to complete the course on-time with the following results:- 6 out of 8 students successfully graduated- 2 IT graduates got placed- Generated 160K in revenue Show less
