We used many industrial cleaning methods such as large industrial vacuum trucks, high pressure water trucks for cleaning pipe and tanks, and sweeping mud and excess sugar beets. My time at Jet Way only lasted the summer months in 2017 as I returned to UND in the fall.

I learned to understand how to read and bring the plans of the engineer to real life.       During my time as a QA with the USACE at the Garrison Dam, I played a major role in overseeing construction in the intake control structure and the old switch yard. My responsibilities were to oversee the work done by the contractor and ensure work has been completed in accordance to the plans and specs. My duties also included reporting work and other occurrences that happened throughout the day in a daily report. This internship provided me great experience in construction and contracting.

      I came on as an intern with PCL on Dec 4th, 2020 on the Altru Hospital project then was hired full time in May and began work on the UND Nistler College of Business and Public Administration in September. My responsibilities included: Construction observation/supervision, facilitating quality control using BIM 360 field, facilitating safety in the field, performing quantity takeoffs, understanding/interpretation of technical plans and specifications, communication with contractors/consultants, RFI/Submittal management, weekly progress photos, creation of job site newsletter, production tracking of CMU masonry and structural steel. I also was involved in the pre-construction bidding phase for multiple projects. Show less As a Field Engineer Intern with PCL Construction I played a large role in the structural steel production on the new Altru Replacement Hospital project. Each day, I would track the man hours, number of pieces erected, square footage of decking/shear studs installed, attend meetings with sub-contractors, ensure work is completed in compliance with the contract, perform takeoffs for cost estimates, and perform quality control inspections.
