  I work with solo artists, vocal groups, singer-song writers and bands on their/our tracks. Always looking for new acts to work with, either as a collaboration, or in an individual role such as recording engineer, producer, mix engineer, mastering engineer, as well as composition and arrangements. I also advise on song-writing as I am an experienced songwriter in my own right.I am also a multi-instrumentalist, equally at home playing piano, bass and both lead and rhythm guitars. I am an experienced DJ and live music performer (Keys/Guitar/Bass). I bring my expertise together working with artists on their development, involved in creating their records from song concept and composition to final mixing. I remix in various genres such as House, Drum & Bass as well as chill-out versions of songs. My main philosophy is to help create an artistic environment my clients can thrive in, where they take the lead on concept and development; my role is to assist in this, and create the product ready for public consumption. Show less This was my dissertation at university. I researched, analyzed and theoretically developed a three dimensional audio mix-down system for DJ's or live performers. I integrated a way of using either down mixes of 2-5 channel tracks or multi track releases; and outputting them in a three dimensional system using a control system in which the 'performer' chooses where (in the sound-space) to place the separated channels, creating a unique 'mix' (both in the sense of spatial and musical arrangement).   I DJ'd on Sunday nights at The Friary nightclub in Derby, playing party anthems, chart music, rock and R n B. I also did Monday nights, playing Drum n Bass, Trance, House, R n B, and classic Soul, Funk and Disco.I also designed and distributed flyers, designed a MySpace page, with my own mash-up mixes on it, and been involved in active promotion on Facebook, setting up a group and messaging my target audience (students) to promote my night.

  This was a project in which I took on full responsiblity for composition and production, with my collaborator writing and performing vocals. The remastered version was released in 2024. I played live synths with Nemesis. I use a Waldorf Q, Access Virus, Roland Juno D and a MIDI keyboard connected to my laptop running Reason 4.0. I also acted as musical director of the band.

  My primary role was to operate sonar equipment on board Royal Navy submarines, tracking and analysing contacts. The job also entailed seamanship for the submarine, assisting the navigation officer and being part of the Submarine Protection Force. I was selected for promotion at the earliest possible time.
