  The North Texas District Export Council is the local District Export Council for the North Texas region. DECs are organizations of leaders from the local business community, appointed by successive United States Secretaries of Commerce, whose knowledge of international business provides a source of professional advice for local firms engaged in international trade. DECs contribute leadership and international trade expertise to complement the United States Commercial Service's export promotion efforts through counseling businesses on the exporting process and conducting trade education and community outreach. The North Texas DEC is one of four Texas DECs. It is a diverse group of volunteer international trade professionals who meet for plenary sessions addressing international issues and awareness. DEC members are exporters of manufactured products and services, providers of export support services. academia, and leaders of non-profit organizations and state and local governments. Show less
