In addition, I focused on general contract law and litigation. I also specialised in bankruptcy law and was frequently appointed as a liquidator by the District Court of Amsterdam.

  As Legal Counsel I have been responsible for all legal matters in the Netherlands. Supporting various business units on salescontracts in the area of construction and installation of numerous elektrotechnical products and software licenses as delivered by Schneider Electric. In this role I have gained experience in drafting and negotiating complex multi vendor construction contracts. In addition, I dealt with alle legal matters related to two warehouses located in the Netherlands.

  As Director IT Law I was responsible for all legal IT matters of Ahold Delhaize on the General Support Office Level (contracts with IT Suppliers on behalf of all operating companies). I implemented a new platform for contract management and organised an international ‘IT get together’ using my project management skills. My team consisted of of 4 (Senior) Legal Counsels and 2 interim (Senior) Legal Counsels. As Director IT Law I was also part of the Global IT Leadership Team consisting of all regional CIO’s and the CISO of Ahold Delhaize. This team was headed by the CIO of Ahold Delhaize and focussed on strategic decisions for all operating companies. Together with the CIO and VP Strategy & Architecture I have worked on a strategic approach towards certain IT suppliers. Show less As Senior Legal Counsel I supported Albert Heijn, ah.nl, AHtoGo, AM&MG, Etos and Gall&Gall with all E-commerce and IT related matters. With a special interest in innovative solutions, I supported our business to be the first in anything they did. For every digital initiative of the Ahold brands in the Netherlands, I’ve worked closely with product owners, UX’ers and Marketing to oversee the customer journey. I was also part of the team that realised frictionless payment in the AHtoGo stores. Together we designed the customer journey in order to build the MVP. I have closed the gap between marketing and IT, by educating marketing on IT/E-com topics. Together with E-com I’ve developed a way of working whereby the marketing process has been integrated within the existing agile (scrum) way of working of IT/E-com. Show less
