      Carried out two client site based projects:Developing user documentation for the accounting module of TIAS NZ’s Fantasia Travel Agency Automation System.Developing business process and procedure manuals for Telecom NZ’s National Billing Operations unit in preparation for ISO 9000 certification.

      Led a regional tourism strategy which helped Wairarapa develop as a desirable escape for the Wellington domestic market and carve a solid niche in the international FIT and wine tourism market. Member of the NZ Tourism Board’s Visitor Information Network (VIN) Advisory Committee and transformed the amateur visitor centres into the region’s primary distribution agency transacting remote bookings. Trustee of the Mt Bruce National Wildlife Centre Trust which at the time was considered a leading case in DOC public/private partnerships. This Wairarapa experience, with an extremely tight budget and four constituent councils, gave invaluable insight into the issues and politics for small rural communities seeking to develop and promote their tourism industry.       Regional Tourism Organisation for NZ's Capital. 24 Staff including visitor centre, major event funding, convention bureau. The domestic Send Yourself to Wellington campaign was the subject of a WTO case study of best practice public-private partnerships in destination marketing. "Centre Stage of New Zealand" was an international marketing joint venture targeted at the travel trade and took best marketing category of the NZ Tourism Awards (2001). Second in charge of the Regional Tourism Organisation for NZ's capital city. Direct responsibility for International marketing (Chair of Centre Stage of NZ joint venture group), Convention Bureau, Visitor Centre re-development and relationship management for the hotel partners in the domestic campaign. Contracted development of WellingtonNZ.com and the back-end Sequel Server product database. This web site quickly gained the highest use levels of all NZ RTO sites.
