      Operations support- Technician

I worked at operations support for a period of a year after my training. The exposure at this stage was for my development toward my shift supervisory role for the Nuclear new built. At Ops support office my day to day responsibilities included; 1. Scheduling the daily Periodic test, ensuring all the test permits are authorised2. Co-ordination of long-duration testing to ensure procedure adherence, safety of personnel, and liaison with other functional areas were need arise. 3. Investigating and reporting on operational incidents4. Ensuring post-maintenance equipment was compliant with operational technical specifications and the SAP work flow is closed. Operations support at the outage office roles and responsibilities included the following; 1. Working with Outage Control Centre and Operational management to ensure that operational schedule was adhered to and deadlines were met2. Planning and verifying of the system line-up for the pressure vessels hydro pressure test during outages. 3. Verifying that the pressurised vessel holds pressure by identifying the leaks in the system during hydrostatic pressure testing. Show less
