  Volunteer Police Cadet

  - I was a police cadet for 2 years on the Police Cadet Scheme. During this time I volunteered for various events and I also completed my Duke of Edinburgh Award.- The Duke of Edinburgh Award took a lot of hard work and dedication; I had to be self sufficient for all of my expeditions, work as a team, use a map and a compass to navigate to various destinations.- I volunteered for various community operations in my local area. I talked to the local residents to see if there was anything they would like to report about their neighborhood.- In summary, the police cadets helped me develop as a person massively. I met amazing people and I gained an insight into the police and how they operate. This has been achieved by speaking to Police Officers themselves, learning drill and discipline in regards to keeping clothes neat and tidy. Show less

  - For a year I worked at McDonald's part time while I was completing my BTEC at Newcastle College.- I worked on every position in the restaurant during my time there, I worked on the front counter and in the kitchen.- This job involved communicating with colleagues and customers extensively. It was a very high pace job, I am grateful to have been able to experience this role for a year.- My primary job role was to serve customers and give them their food within a timely manner. I carried these tasks out with precision and in good time.- McDonald's was my first job and my first taste of the world of work. Show less
