  Working for a large Mental Health NHS Trust in the North West, I was responsible for the design and implementation of a trust wide Microsoft SharePoint environment for a user base of over 7000 members of staff spanning over 400 geographic sites through Lancashire.During this time I was responsible for the complete lifecycle of the project, from Business Case and PID, through to workshop delivery and end user requirement gathering. Matt was the Technical Architect responsible for the design, configuration and implementation of the staff intranet and bespoke business applications and team sites for collateral, with accountability for a team I content managers, technical staff and developers to ensure the SharePoint project was delivered on time and within budget, incorporating all end user requirements with either out of the box or custom feature development. He was also the Technical Lead for the design, procurement and implementation of a User Acceptance Environment encompassing a like for like SharePoint topology replicating the production environment utilizing Hyper-V technology.Undertook the Lead Developer role for custom SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010 features and Artifacts. As the Technical Architect and Development Specialist for the implementation of a large scale pilot of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, covering over 1000 users over numerous geographical locations.I was responsible for the delivery of a scalable and robust solution that incorporated OCS Presence, Live Meeting and Conference capabilities including voice and video both internally and externally. I was also the Technical Lead for the implementation of a Microsoft Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging Server and Microsoft Office Communications Server integrated with a Cisco Call manager to enable enhanced presence and telephony features including simultaneous ringing and dual forking of PBX numbers. Responsibilities also included the upgrade, migration and maintenance of multiple Web Front End, Access Edge, Director, Web Access, Quality of Experience, Archive and Mediation Servers across multiple data centres. As the Development Lead for the Unified Communication Platform customisations of the client interface and integration into other systems including bespoke .NET Applications was also undertaken. Show less As a Systems Architect I was responsible for the complete lifecycle from Business Case and PID through to the implementation of a proof-of-concept environment for the Information Development Team utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio Source Safe, IIS and Visual Studio to enable to team to actively control the software development projects and resulting source code. Due to the nature of the bespoke development, this architecture was based on a resilient server infrastructure that was designed and incorporated into 3 core datacentres.Whilst undertaking my role as a Development Specialist I was responsible for a number of Trust wide .NET based Websites, Web Applications and Windows Applications, integrating these sites and applications in Active Directory for User Account Maintenance, Cisco Call manager for Telephone Directories and Office Communications Server for Presence awareness.During my time within this dual role, I was responsible for assisting in the management and maintenance of over 10 Microsoft SQL servers on various version from 2000 through to 2008 R2, serving over 20 critical and 100 bespoke system databases for clinical and non-clinical systems.Developed Back Office Systems, ensuring resilience and maintenance was managed at all times in conjunction with the Disaster Recovery Policy and provided technical support (3rd and 4th level) when required on all related incidents that were not able to be resolved via 1st – 3rd line support, liaising with external contractors and suppliers to ensure resolution. Show less As the Active Directory and Exchange Specialist for a large Mental Health NHS trust, I was responsible for the management and maintenance of over 80 physical Dell PowerEdge servers including various Server Appliances and Clustered SQL SAN Configuration.My primary responsibilities included the design, implementation and maintenance of the Trusts Active Directory Forest and Exchange Messaging Infrastructure. This role included the planning, documentation and automation of installation, administration and customization utilizing VBScripts to ensure corporate desktop environments, compliance and end user experience. This included detailed technical documentation and technical specification design relating to server builds, group policy administration, desktop builds, network infrastructure and data centre configuration.I was the Lead Specialist for the design and migration of a Windows NT 4.0 domain to Windows 2000 Active Directory for nearly 2000 users and the further adoption to a Windows 2008 Domain for nearly 7000 end user including the migration of user profiles and folder redirection.Responsible for the migration of an Exchange 5.5 architecture to a new Exchange 2000 infrastructure within the Windows 2000 Active Directory Domain. As well as subsequent migrations to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 High Availability multi node cluster environments.Managed the full system life cycle testing of all proof of concept areas for Active Directory and Exchange systems including documentation, bench testing and lab analysis of both the systems and software prior to deployment to the ensure the environments met the business needs and demands of the Trust.Other responsibilities included system architectural design and installation to ensure corporate standards and regulatory compliance was met in line of current and future systems and regulations.   During my time at Tensar International Limited, I was responsible for the implementation of a Global SharePoint Platform, including the full topology design, configuration and requirements gathering.I was the lead Technical and Solution Architect for the implementation of a multi-server SharePoint 2010 farm and migration of an existing SharePoint 2007 server farm. The new server architecture and SharePoint 2010 farm delivered both corporate intranet capabilities as well as isolated Team collaboration and social functionality, resulting in the design and configuration of a SharePoint 2010 farm spanning multi geographic locations throughout EMEA, Americas and Asia to meet the business critical needs of the company.Detailed workshop planning, system analysis and technical documentation was key to the design, implementation and user adoption with the SharePoint 2010 server farm heavily integrated into SAGE CRM an the new corporate internet site hosted on the Site Core platform. Internal collaborative sites were designed to use multiple language variations to enhance user adoption throughout the global business to comply with localized adoption rates, with heavy utilisation of Managed Metadata, Content Types and Content Organiser rules to comply with publication of collateral to external sites and regulatory compliance.
