      The American Institute of Indian Studies (AIIS) was formed to further the knowledge of India in the United States by supporting American scholarship on India. The programs of AIIS promote and advance mutual understanding between the citizens of the U. S. and of India. AIIS offered an environment which directly led to growth in my Punjabi language skills.

      Indiana University Police Department works alongside state and local police to provide a safe community for students and civilians living in Bloomington. Some of the assigned duties included enforcing laws, local ordinances, and traffic laws. A major goal of the Indiana University Police Department is to establish a friendly and accessible relationship between police officers and the Bloomington community. The Mind and Identity Lab lab focuses on developing and testing theories about how people’s social identities and group memberships interact with the contexts they encounter to affect their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, physiology, and motivation. Specifically, I assisted on work that focused on cues hypotheses, social identity concerns, organizational lay theories, and interracial interaction and friendship. Assisted Indiana University Police Department in establishing a safe campus. Assigned duties included observing activity in densely populated areas and reporting on possible criminal activity. As a cadet I also facilitated in safeguarding and returning found property to individuals.

      First point of contact for troubleshooting issues, arranging meetings, and completing tasking for Director of Intelligence at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Assisted General Warshaw in coordinating 8 division chiefs (over 500 employees) focused on intelligence production for an agency of over 2000 employees. In this role, I served as the agency wide program manager at DTRA for Support and International Agreements. I assisted in brokering agreements between DTRA and other agencies. Further, in this role I helped establish DTRA in the Department of Treasury’s G-Invoicing system. Served as Targeting Officer aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt and Deployed to South China Sea where I built over 20 military target packages for exercises and training. In this position, I also stood 8 hour watch synthesizing intelligence and building a senior leadership level briefs. Completed Officer Candidate School and commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy. Following Officer Candidate School, I completed Naval Intelligence Officer Basic Course (NIOBC) and attained my intelligence officer and information warfare officer pin shortly after.
