  I was promoted to Team Lead 4 months into a space I had no prior experience in.But I was learning fast.And delivering faster. And that's what counted, which is why I was trusted to lead a team of 2x other first-time Product Execs. PLUS, with our big product release right around the corner...I had to make sure we were gearing up for the launch. We tore apart, reworked, and rebuilt feature after feature. Poured our blood, sweat, and tears into it all. Brainstormed ways we could innovate. All that effort? Worth it when:+ Your prospects tell you how cool your product is shaping up to be.+ Your current clients ask you how soon they can onboard. + Your team tells you this is going to change lives. It was tough work, but we did it in the end. Show less Product was calling my name for months.It's why I told my CEO in Dec 2022 I'd love to try my hand at Product.And why he paired me with our Product Manager in May 2023 to build the department.Fast forward to a month later, and I had made the complete switch over to the department. I was officially a Product Executive.We were juggling setting up a brand new department.All while planning and building out our new HR solution.We weren't just on a mission to disrupt the industry.We were on a mission to disrupt the world.A million iterations and conceptualisations, numerous attempts at sprint planning (and scrapping), days and nights spent wireframing, prototyping, and documenting later...We soft-launched the BETA version of our product in December 2023 and signed our first client. And for the next 16 months, little did I know I would go on to: + Work on a Series A funding round + Facilitate internal AI training & adoption + Lead investor outreach & communications + Plan and organise executive-level meetings+ Be personally mentored by the CEO and COO+ Create our entire business plan from scratch!+ Setup project management automation and workflows+ Become a sounding board for executive decisions (and at times, even make those decisions)This was maybe the most challenging role of my life.
