  After being hired as a management trainee in 1983 I had 2 major roles during a span of 14 years at ARKLA Gas Company, a fortune 500, integrated natural gas exploration, pipeline and distribution company. From 1985-1991 I served as a Distribution Manager with over 10,000 customers in the southwest part of Arkansas and from 1991-1998 I was a Senior Leadership Development trainer in Little Rock.

  Staff Manager for ALLTEL's Performance Development Center

  I was responsible for the training delivery for ALLTEL wireless, wire line, and corporate ALLTEL, a fortune 500 integrated telecommunications company. I had training facilitators and facilities in Twinsburg, Ohio, Charlotte, NC and the corporate headquarters in Little Rock. In part I was responsible for the development and implementation of ALLTEL University in 2001.

  As Vice President of Human Resources I was responsible for the recruiting and development of it's 400 plus employees over a 17 state area. I had oversight for benefits, payroll, and training. Wesco International a fortune 500 company, acquired Carlton-Bates in 2007. Besides my responsibilities as VP of HR for Carlton-Bates I had an expanded role with WESCO, serving the Utility Division as well as the Manufactured Housing Division locations and employees throughout the US after the acquisition.

Ozarks is a rural electric cooperative in northwest Arkansas and northeast Oklahoma serving some 70,000 members. Headquarters is located in Fayetteville, home of the University of Arkansas. There are some 200 full time employees at Ozarks and four offices throughout it's service territory in Northwest Arkansas and Northeast Oklahoma.
